Greece’s second city: Byzantine walls, waterfront promenades, and a serious food scene. Less touristy than Athens.

Walk the seafront, visit the White Tower and Rotunda, and eat in Ladadika. Its old warehouses turn into bars and clubs after dark, with some of the liveliest nightlife in Greece. Hot in summer.
